Class Description:
If you love vintage charts of butterfly species, this class is for you. We will create a vintage look chart from images of butterflies that appeal to you, arrange them in a pleasing composition then carefully sketch them in the first session. The second session will be focused on rendering the butterflies in gouache. The two-session class is designed to leave time between sessions to allow for work on the chart. The process of creating a chart such as this is a slow, contemplative, observational method and meant to slow down the recording of the spectacular world of nature, capturing the essence of the subject in a deep meaningful way.
