My Secret Garden
Second Session: Sunday, October 8th 1:30-3:30 PM Pacific Time $30 Class Description: This year long class will be offered month to month and begin with a short demonstration and discussion about all facets of keeping an illustrated journal. After demonstrations, there will be time for working on your own journal during class with help at the ready in an open studio format. Each session will be offered independently, no need to commit to a year nor take each class offered. The only "homework" will be in the form of prompts or ideas to get you started with the notion of holding each other accountable to creating a habit. In this second session of the series, we will begin by sharing pages we have created since we last met if desired. Our discussion will be a continuation about staying motivated and methods for drawing our focus inward. Demonstration: Finding your focus in a labyrinth: A virtual walk in my garden, finding inspiration in new places. A mindful approach to a sketchbook using Zentangles, Mandalas and Labyrinths. Students will have time to work in class and ask questions, especially about setting and intention and committing to regular entries in the journal. In preparation for the November Session a brief preview of finding fonts and lettering will wrap up this month's session. A supply list will be sent to students prior to class. |
